Vaculift™ Pipe Lifter™s in the Field
The Vaculift™ will perform in all kinds of weather, at all temperatures, with only one exception: it is not advisable to lift pipe which is coated with ice, as the ice will likely pull off, dropping the pipe. This is also true if the pipe is extremely dirt caked or has heavy deposits of clay or grease. Rain is not a problem.
Vaculift™ pipelifters have been used to fit concrete and cast iron pipe together in a ditch.
The Vaculift™ will handle 80-foot double joints, weighing close to the maximum rating of the lifter. Several were used to handle 48-inch double joints weighing 19,000 pounds on major pipeline projects. They will work anywhere the carrier they're mounted on will take them.
